Community Acupuncture

Community-Style acupuncture refers to treatments performed in a community setting, the way it has been practiced in China for thousands of years. In practice this means your treatment takes place in a beautiful open treatment space with massage tables and recliners which are separated by plants and screens; therefore, several people can receive treatments at the same time. You still have adequate privacy but you get the additional benefit of a dramatic enhancement of the healing energy or QI (pronounced "chee").

Treatment Frequency

Acupuncture is most effective when treatments are frequent. When you begin receiving treatments we may need to see you two or three times per week, especially if the issue you are experiencing is severe. This is not to say that you will need to come in that frequently indefinitely. It depends upon how your body responds to acupuncture and how long you have had the ailment for. A good rule of thumb is to allow one month of treatments for each year you have had the condition.

"A wise man ought to realize that health is his most valuable possession."
- Hippocrates

Acupuncture takes time, but the results tend to be long lasting. While you may feel some relief from your symptoms after just one or two treatments it may take some time for big changes to happen. Please be patient with your body!
